Frequently Asked Questions
What file types can I upload as artwork?
You can upload raster images in JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP format. Transparent PNGs are fully supported. We'll preserve the alpha channel when we place your artwork into the mock-up so the final image looks crisp on any background.
What is the maximum file size for artwork uploads?
Individual artwork files must be smaller than 4.5 MB. Keeping the size reasonable helps the generator start faster and avoids long uploads, especially on mobile networks. If your design is larger, try exporting it at 3000 px on the longest side. That's plenty of resolution for most mock-ups.
Can I upload my own PSD templates?
Absolutely! Just make sure your PSD contains a Smart Object layer named Design and that this layer is the active (selected) layer when you save the file. That way the generator knows exactly where to place your artwork. Very large or deeply nested PSDs may take a little longer to open in the browser.
How long does it take to generate a mockup?
Most mock-ups render in just a few seconds. Complex PSDs with many layers or high-resolution smart objects can take longer because they need to be processed inside Photopea. You can keep browsing while the progress spinner is running, and we'll notify you as soon as everything is ready.
In which format will my mockups be downloaded?
We deliver your finished mock-ups as high-quality JPEGs (≈ 90 % quality). You're free to use these images commercially or personally. No watermarks, no attribution required, completely free. If you generated multiple variations you can grab them all at once as a handy ZIP archive.
