A Smart Object is a special layer type in Adobe Photoshop PSD files that acts as a placeholder. When you replace its contents, the new image is automatically warped, scaled, and blended to match the surrounding scene, giving you a photorealistic result without manually adjusting perspective or lighting.
Any PSD file that contains a Smart Object layer named Design will work. The Design layer should be selected (active) when you save the file. PSDs from Creative Market, Envato Elements, and other mockup marketplaces typically follow this convention. Files up to 300MB are supported.
You can upload PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF files as your artwork. For best results use a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background if your design doesn't fill the entire smart object area.
No installation required. The tool runs entirely in your browser using Photopea, a Photoshop-compatible engine. Your files never leave your computer; all processing happens locally.
The main generator uses Mockupanda's curated template library with optimized WebGL rendering for speed. This standalone tool lets you bring your own PSD files, ideal when you already own premium mockup packs and just need a fast way to swap out the smart object artwork.
The output image inherits the license of the PSD template you upload. If your PSD template is licensed for commercial use (e.g. from a Creative Market or Envato Extended License), the resulting mockup is also commercially usable. Mockupanda itself adds no additional restrictions.
